About RSC

Allison Holcomb Mihalkanin, PA-C

Allie Mihalkanin, PA-C completed her undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, located in her hometown in central Illinois, where she was an academic James Scholar all four years. Knowing she wanted to go in to medicine, she then earned her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Jefferson College of Health Sciences (now Radford University) in Roanoke, Virginia, where she received awards for her academic achievements and community involvement.

After completing her master’s program, Allie moved home to Chicago, Illinois, where she began practicing as a women’s health physician assistant. The years she spent as a general women’s practitioner in a busy urban clinic grew her interest in reproductive health, outcomes, and rights. After deciding to settle in Charlotte, Allie was given the opportunity to train under Dr. Matrika Johnson to become RSC’s first physician assistant in 2021. She fell in love with reproductive medicine and never looked back! Throughout the years at RSC, she has developed specific interest, research and training in recurrent pregnancy loss, PCOS and LGBTQ+ rights and reproductive care.

Outside the exam room, you will find Allie sampling new cuisines and traveling. You will also often on weekends find her and her family out boating on the lake, which is one of the many reasons they moved to the southeast! She is happily married and loves spending quality time with her husband, daughter, son and golden retriever.
